Principal's Message 2020

From: The Principal’s Desk

Dear Marian Academy Family,

A warm welcome back to school for 2020.

Amidst the business, which comes with Christmas, I hope you had some rest and a wonderful time reuniting with loved ones. To those who may have experienced the death of a loved one we offer our sympathies and prayers.

This term like all the other terms will be filled with activities starting immediately. Let me highlight a few. Our Marian Quiz will be at the end of January, the same due date for CSEC SBAs. We will have our Track and Field Athletics during the month of February, and so students will need to begin their training from the first week of school. Also we will be recruiting for the Blood Donation Drive which will be on February 08. Each unit given can save three lives. Be a life saver.

Soon the days of Reflection will begin. A Day of Reflection for all Secondary students is a regular part of our programme and therefore it is as important as all other scheduled activities. I wish to offer congratulations to the many students who will receive “Good Work” and “Good Conduct Badges”. I encourage those who did not do so well to double their efforts and continue to persevere.

I hope that with careful packing of school bags each night, the children will be bringing lighter school bags to school and we will see fewer parents going to the classrooms to carry these bags. I am also requesting that parents label the lunch bags and leave them at the office where the children will collect their lunches.

I wish you a happy and fruitful term. May God continue to bless you and your family with divine light, love and power that will bring much love, joy peace and inner strength. May you walk in the light of wisdom.

Sincerely,
Sr. Marie Harper, OSU
Principal
