The 15th edition of the Marian Run delivered yet another historic race for the prestigious Beresford Trophy.
Lucas Pinol defended his title in grand style, becoming only the fourth double champion in the history of the event, winning outright in an impressive time of 6 minutes, 11 seconds.
On Friday, September 18, 2026, Marian Academy's Environmental Club placed 3rd out of 8 schools in the Mangrove Centre Environmental Club Challenge at the Mangrove Centre NARI compound. They also won one of the 3 special awards, for Best Conservation Message.
Five students took part, accompanied by club coordinators Mr Shawn Freeman (Secondary) and Ms Benita David (Primary), plus parent Ms Sarah Jordan. We are proud of the students' effort and commitment to environmental stewardship.
On Friday, September 11, one of our Fifth Form students, Breanna Nobrega participated in the Regional Youth Congress on Tourism – Guyana 2026 competition.
Congratulations to her for clinching the second place. It was a wonderful opportunity for youth from across Guyana to compete and share their ideas regarding the future of tourism in Guyana. Well done Breanna all of us, at Marian Academy, are extremely proud of your achievement.
On September the 14th in 1998, Marian Academy opened its doors on Carifesta Avenue in Georgetown with just 227 students. Today, we look back at 28 remarkable years of faith, learning, and growth in the light of wisdom.

Marian Academy proudly celebrates Mr. Lee on his outstanding achievement in chess and thanks him for his invaluable service and continued dedication to our school community.
We are especially proud to reflect that the first step of this remarkable journey began at Marian Academy.
Mr. Lee is well on his way to becoming Guyana’s first International Arbiter (IA) following his successful completion of the IA Certification Seminar Exam hosted by the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission.
